Ksenija Marinković

Ksenija Marinkovic was born in 1966 in Virovitica, where she finished high school. Ever since she was eight and until enrolling in the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb, she was involved in the Virovitica Theatre as an amateur actress. As a student of the Academy, she started to collaborate with the Gavella Drama Theatre and the Histrion Theatre Troupe. After graduating from the Academy, she spent a year with the 'Teatar u gostima' and has been employed in the Zagreb Youth Theatre (ZKM Theatre) since 1989. Her performances in this theatre include some of her most important roles: Mowglie in The Jungle Book, Nausikaja in Ulysses and Son, Harpa in Harpa, Irina in Three Sisters, Elvira in Insektarij.

Other than in the Zagreb Youth Theatre, she performed in the Histrion Theatre Troupe (Grička vještica), the &TD Theatre (Budi se lijepa, Gorki, gorki mjesec), the Ulysses Theatre in Brijuni (King Lear, Hamlet, Pijana noć 1918), the Gavella Drama Theatre (Ludi dani, Leda, Closer), as well as numerous independent theatre troupes. She is the winner of the following awards: 'Zlatni smijeh' Award for the role of Hanka in the play Zaštićena zona by Dušan Jovanović, 2002; 'Marul' Award for her acting performance in the play S druge strane by Nataša Rajković and Boba Jelčić, 2007; 'Veljko Maričić' Award for best female performance in the play S druge strane, 2007.; Vjesnik's 'Dubravko Dujšin' Award for the role in the play S druge strane, 2007.
